I’ve been worrying about the world lately. Not politically speaking, that worries me as well given how f**ked it all feels at the moment but that's a whole different kettle of fish. I'm worried for the environment. The planet. I know, dull right? But I just can't help it.
Rubbish. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Farming. Industry. Whales dying on beaches because their innards are filled with crap that we've thrown away. The horrendous smog I encountered in Hong Kong. The entire fast fashion industry. It weighs heavily on my shoulders.
I'm not going to turn into a smug preachy eco-blogger or anything like that. That'd be a bit rich coming from someone who's done two long haul flights in the last year. But I believe there are plenty of small practical ways that we can all stop being so damn wasteful. Maybe it's the effect of living in London for the last 9 years or so. Seeing mountains of rubbish piling up everyday after people have bought their (wrapped-in plastic) lunches and guzzled a (plastic) bottle of water which all gets tossed with little thought.
